Coimbatore: Hundreds of enthusiastic participants took part in the annual Mountain Bike Event (MTB) Cycling event held for the second consecutive year at Sundakkamuthur, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Hundreds of enthusiastic participants took part in the annual Mountain Bike Event (MTB) Cycling event held for the second consecutive year at Sundakkamuthur, Coimbatore.
Commenting on the over-whelming response for the event, the organiser said "We are proud to see all of our first year participants, this year too. Competitions are conducted in three categories- junior, senior and national level participants."
They also opined that awareness regarding cycling is less in South India compared to North India. And, that's the reason mountain cycling events are also less in TN, they said.
"We have plans of sending participants from this event to national and international level biking competitions, as well. These events are conducted to raise awareness about mountain biking events among the public", they informed.
