Coimbatore: It's a Golden double for Nachimuthu Polytechnic College as they emerged champions in Badminton and Chess tournament held at PSG Polytechnic college on Thursday.
Organised by Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association, various games for Women like Chess, Carrom and Badminton tournaments are being held at PSG Indoor sports complex.
In Badminton, Nachimuthu Polytechnic College defeated the host PSG Polytechnic College by 2-0 in the finals to lift the Trophy.
Similarly in Chess, the champions sailed over Government Polytechnic College for Women by 11-7 to emerge winners.
Likewise in carrom, GRG Polytechnic College claimed the trophy as they defeated PSG Polytechnic in the finals by 2-1. The third and fourth place in the tournament was secured by Government Polytechnic College for Women and Nachimuthu Polytechnic college respectively.
Dr V.Mohansivakumar, HOD (Mechanical) PSG Polytechnic College along with Krishnaveni, Rtd Physical Director distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners of the tournament.
