Coimbatore: PSG Polytechnic College emerged as champions of Inter Polytechnic College Volleyball tournament held at PSG Polytechnic College on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: PSG Polytechnic College emerged as champions of Inter Polytechnic College Volleyball tournament held at PSG Polytechnic College on Wednesday.
Organised by Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (IPAA), the one-day Division level Volleyball tournament was hosted by PSG Polytechnic College in which five College teams from Coimbatore Division took part. The tournament was conducted under knockout basis.
Of the five teams, the host PSG Polytechnic College and Government Polytechnic College for Women qualified for the finals. Though lost their first set by 12-25, PSG came back into the game very strong and equalised the game as they completed set two by 25-7 in the finals.
In the decider, the champions PSG Polytechnic College sealed Government Polytechnic College for Women by 25-22 in a close contest to lift the trophy.
Dr B Giriraj, Principal of PSG Polytechnic college distributed trophies and certificates to the winners of the tournament.
