The 38th Inter College Athletic Meet is being conducted for both men and women under various categories such as 100m, 200m,400m, relay, high jump, long jump, shotput, half marathon, 5km walk, 20km walk, triple jump and javelin throw.
Earlier, Dr K Murugan, Registrar of Bharathiar University inaugurated the event.
Nandhini of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women has set a New Meet record in Triple Jump, as she scored 12.69 mts at Bharathiar University Inter college athletic Championship.
Gokul, Bharathi Kannan, Ashwin, Vivekananthan, Karthikeyan, Vishnu, Mukesh Kumar, Hariharan in Men's category and Priya, Soniya, Divya, Harini and Nandhini in Women's category emerged successful in other games.
