Coimbatore: The Frontline Academy Matriculation Hr. Sec. School from Tiruppur emerged champions at the State level Inter school Volleyball tournament for 'Rathinam Trophy' organized by Rathinam group of institutions in the city on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: The Frontline Academy Matriculation Hr. Sec. School from Tiruppur emerged champions at the State level Inter school Volleyball tournament for 'Rathinam Trophy' organized by Rathinam group of institutions in the city on Wednesday.
The two-day tournament featured around 24 teams from various part of the State which was conducted under knockout and league basis. The tournament was inaugurated by R. Manickam, CEO of Rathinam group of the institution along with K. Muralidharan, Principal, Rathinam College of Arts and science.
Sri Ragavendra Vidyalaya MHSS, The Frontline Academy MHSS, Suburban Higher Secondary School and Bharathi Vidhyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School were the top four teams qualified for the league matches.
Winning all the matches in the league stage, Frontline School lifted the Rathinam Trophy.
Following Frontline, Sri Ragavendra with two wins emerged runners of the tournament. The third and fourth place in the tournament was secured by Suburban and Bharathi Schools respectively.
S.R. Aruchamy, Chairman, Coimbatore District Volleyball Association along with the Chairman of Rathinam group of institutions distributed cash awards and trophies to the winners.
