Coimbatore: The defending champions of Hero I- League Chennai City Football Club (CCFC) on Saturday has unveiled their new Jersey and the third kit for the upcoming 13th edition of Hero I-League.
Coimbatore: The defending champions of Hero I- League Chennai City Football Club (CCFC) on Saturday has unveiled their new Jersey and the third kit for the upcoming 13th edition of Hero I-League.
The team will use the orange-coloured new jersey for the home matches, the grey-coloured ones for their away matches and yellow for their third Kit.
The Hero I-League 13th edition is all set to commence and CCFC will be playing all their home matches at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore. The first match for the home team is scheduled on Sunday at Nehru Stadium in the city.
Total of 11 teams will feature in this edition of Hero I-League and CCFC will be playing all their ten home matches in the city. The defending champions look forward to defend the title, this year.
CCFC has signed two foreign players - Katsumi from Japan and Fito Miranda from Spain for the upcoming season and Spaniard Nestor was released from the team. The management has signed 80% of local players and tied up with Swiss Football Club FC Basel to strengthen the side.
"It will be a fresh start for me. We will take this season serious and try our best to defend the Trophy", told Pedro Manzi, Captian of CCFC.

Talking at the event, Managing Director of CCFC Rohit Ramesh stated that, "Coimbatore People have been very supporting and we expect the same cooperation this year, too. We have signed good players and hoping for the best this season."

Others present at the event were Vijayaragavan, Senior Consultant CCFC, Akbar Nawas, Senior coach, CCFC, Inkulab CEO, CCFC and Feroz Khan General Manager of Aloft.
