Coimbatore: The Indian Public School (TIPS), Coimbatore has emerged as winners at the District level inter School Football tournament organised by BVM Global School here on Friday.
Coimbatore: The Indian Public School (TIPS), Coimbatore has emerged as winners at the District level inter School Football tournament organised by BVM Global School here on Friday.
Over 36 teams from various schools participated in the two-day football fest organised for students under 12 years at BVM Global School in the city. The tournament was conducted under knockout basis for both boys and girls.
Earlier, Syeda Sarfraz, Principal along with Vice Principal, Srilatha Manikandan inaugurated the tournament. In boys category, TIPS (Erode and Coimbatore), BVM Global School and Camford International Schools were the four teams qualified into semi finals.
In the finals, TIPS and BVM Global School vied for the trophy in which, TIPS defected BVM global by 1-0 in a close contest to lift the trophy in boys section.
Similarly in girls section finals, TIPS school claimed 2-0 win over Delhi Public School Coimbatore in the finals to emerge winners in the girls category.
Trophies and certificates to the winners were distributed to the winners by Principal Syeda Sarfraz.
