Coimbatore: Niveditha V Nair, a student of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women was part of the team that clinched the bronze medal in the 14th Asian Shooting Championship (25 m women junior category) held at Doha.

Both Niveditha and her team faced stiff competition from countries like China that bagged the gold medal and Korea that bagged the silver medal and were very well-known for their performances at the highest level.
Among the 20 countries that participated, the Indian team secured the third place with just a few points short of the Korean shooters. The top scorer of the team was Niveditha from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women.
