Over 50 students, winners of 8 zones in Coimbatore and 3 zones in Pollachi participated in the tournament held, competing in the Under 14 and 17 age categories. Students took part in various weight categories ranging from 28-50 kilograms.
S Sree Priyan (Sri Sowdeswari MHSS), M Sachin Kumar (Motherland MHSS), R Viswanath (Motherland MHSS), S Varun Kumar (SSVM MHSS), V Yuthajith (Suburban HSS), H M Shyam (SSVM MHSS), A Dhivyesh Kumar (SSVM MHSS), G M Abijith (Govt HSS Mettupalayam), K Nishanth (Perks MHSS), A Akash (Govt HSS Mettupalayam), M Kirubakaran (Nehru Vidhyalaya) were the winners in their respective weight categories.
The winners of the tournament will take part in the state level boxing tournament conducted by the School Education Department that is to be held later this year.
