Coimbatore: City lass N Gaayathri studying PGDBM at the PSG College of Arts and Science secured a bronze medal in the 50 mts Rilfe 3 position team event at the 14th Asian Shooting Championship, held at Doha, Qatar, on Saturday.
Coimbatore: City lass N Gaayathri studying PGDBM at the PSG College of Arts and Science secured a bronze medal in the 50 mts Rilfe 3 position team event at the 14th Asian Shooting Championship, held at Doha, Qatar, on Saturday.

N Gaayathri teamed up with Saini Kajal of Haryana and Maharashtra's Tejaswini to participate in the 50 mts Rifle 3 position team event at the championship. Team India scored a total of 3503 overall points to secure the bronze medal.
The young rifle shooter from the city shot 385 in Kneeling, 393 in Prone and 387 in Standing to add 1165 points and enabled Team India to clinch the bronze medal in the championship. India finished behind People's Republic of China who secured the gold with 3520 points and the Islamic Republic of Iran that secured silver medal with 3505 points.
N Gaayathri has been showsacing her shooting skills to her very best in recent times securing 16th place in the individual 50 mts Rifle 3 position at the Championship and winning the bronze medal in the team event.
