Coimbatore: Jeppiaar Institute of Technology from Sriperumbudur reigned in Anna University Inter Zone Basketball tournament for women held at KPR Institute engineering and technology here in the city on Friday.
Coimbatore: Jeppiaar Institute of Technology from Sriperumbudur reigned in Anna University Inter Zone Basketball tournament for women held at KPR Institute engineering and technology here in the city on Friday.
As many as 19 zone winners vied for the trophy which was conducted under knockout and league basis in which Paavai engineering college, PSNA college of engineering and technology, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology and Kongu Engineering College from Coimbatore fought hard to enter the semi finals of the tournament.
Having won all the matches in the league stage, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology emerged as champions of the Inter Zone Basketball tournament, while Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal secured runners place in the tournament.
The third and fourth place in the tournament were secured by PSNA college of Engineering and Technology and Kongu Engineering College.
Dr.K.Akila, Principal KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, was the chief guest to the valedictory function and presented trophies to the winners of the tournament.
