Coimbatore: Hosts Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) emerged runners-up at the Anna University Sports Board's Inter-zone handball tournament, held at the KCT grounds in the city, on Tuesday. As many as 17 zone winners participated in the tournament which was held under the knockout basis.
Coimbatore: Hosts Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) emerged runners-up at the Anna University Sports Board's Inter-zone handball tournament, held at the KCT grounds in the city, on Tuesday. As many as 17 zone winners participated in the tournament which was held under the knockout basis.
Paavai Engineering College, PSNA College of Engineering, Jeppiaar Engineering College and KCT were the top four teams that entered the semi finals of the tournament. In the finals of the tournament, hosts KCT fell to champions Jeppiaar Engineering College by 21-19.
In the match deciding the third place in the tournament, Paavai Engineering College sealed PSNA College of Engineering with a scoreline of 39-32 to come in third. All arrangements for the tournament was overseen by the Department of Physical Education, KCT.
