Coimbatore : Students of Stanes ICSE School from the city bagged three silver medals and helped the Tamil Nadu team to emerge runners of the CISCE National Athletics Meet 2019-20 held at Pune, this Sunday.
Coimbatore : Students of Stanes ICSE School from the city bagged three silver medals and helped the Tamil Nadu team to emerge runners of the CISCE National Athletics Meet 2019-20 held at Pune, this Sunday.
Over 1000 students from various school in the country participated in the athletic meet held between Oct 10-14. Track and field events for boys and girls under various age categories - under 14,17 and 19 were conducted.

Six students from Stanes ICSE represented team Tamil Nadu at the national athletic meet. Out of them, Shakthi Rajaram and Savio Adith in discuss throw and Agathya Ramesh in relay secured silver medal and helped Tamil Nadu team to bag overall runners Trophy at the Athletic championship.

Tamil Nadu Under 14 girls team emerged overall championship in junior girls category, while team Tamil Nadu emerged runner of the CISCE National athletics meet.
The medalists at this meet will take part in the School Games federation of India (SGFI) games to be held later this year.
The students of Stanes ICSE school were trained by Joseph Jacob, Physical director of the school.
