Coimbatore: City's Suguna PIP School and CS Academy registered a comfortable win on Friday in the Cluster VI state level basketball tournament for CBSE schools, being hosted by Suguna PIP School at the Suguna Sports Complex.
Coimbatore: City's Suguna PIP School and CS Academy registered a comfortable win on Friday in the Cluster VI state level basketball tournament for CBSE schools, being hosted by Suguna PIP School at the Suguna Sports Complex.
Over 3000 students from 178 schools across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are taking part in the tournament which is being conducted under a knockout basis.
On the second day of the tournament, host Suguna PIP and CS Academy found it easy to march into the next round of the tournament. Suguna PIP playing against BVM, Chennai, sailed over by 39-15 while CS Academy Coimbatore defeated Bharani Vidhyalaya by a huge margin of 54-15.
In the Under-17 years Boys category, MVM Hosur, Bala Vidhya Mandir, Coimbatore's Delhi Public School, Velammal Vidhyalaya, Paruthipattu and Sri Sankara were the other successful teams on day two of the tournament.
In the Under-17 years Girls category, DAV Gopalapuram defeated Titan School from Hosur by 25-03 while NSN annihilated Aristo Public School by 30-04. In another match, Virutcham Public School sealed a victory over Chettinad Public School by 16-02.
