Over 700 studnets from various engineering colleges in the Anna University Zone 10 enthusiastically participated in the Athletic Meet hosted by Sri Krishna College of Technology, at Kovaipudur on Thursday.

As many as 22 athletic events for both men and women are being conducted in the three-day championship that kicked off, on Thursday. On the first day of the Meet, the Half Marathon, 5km Walk for women, 20km Walk for Men and Hammer Throw were conducted.
Srinivasan Alavandar, Principal of Sri Krishna College of Technology along with C Mariselvam, the Director of Physical Education inaugurated the Meet.
On the first day of the competition, Gunalan from PA College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi and Alwin of JCT College were the top two finishers in the Hammer Throw for men, while A Arthi from PA college of Engineering and Technology and V R Aarthi from Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology emerged successful in the women's category.
In the Half Marathon for women, Swathi (PA college of Engineering Technology) secured first place and Swetha (Dr. MCET) finished second. Among the men, Vivek ( Arjun College of Technology) and Akash (PA CET) were victorious.
In the 20 km Walk event, Arun Kumar from PA College and Sudharsan from Karpagam College of Engineering shared the top spot while in the women's 20 km Walk, Subitha emerged the winner.
