Coimbatore: The Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, Sujith Kumar inaugurated Cluster VI, an inter-CBSE schools basketball tournament at the Suguna PIP School in the city, today.
Coimbatore: The Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, Sujith Kumar inaugurated Cluster VI, an inter-CBSE schools basketball tournament at the Suguna PIP School in the city, today.

Suguna PIP is hosting the four-day CBSE South Zone level basketball tournament at the Suguna Sports Complex. Over 3000 students from 178 schools across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are taking part in the tournament which is being conducted under a knockout basis.
The tournament is being conducted under two categories - Under 17 years category in which about 200 teams including 77 Girls teams and 73 teams including 20 Girls teams in the Under 19 category are participating.
In the first day of the tournament, First Step Public School defeated Dheeran Chinnamalai International School with a scoreline of 16-05. In another match, Titan Public School triumphed over Asian Christian School by 21-17 to begin their campaign on a winning note. Vetri Vikas, NSN Memorial School, Suguna PIP, Delhi Public School, Velammal Vidhyashram, Maharishi Vista Mandir and PSBB were the other successful teams on the first day of the tournament.
V Lakshminarayanasamy, Chairman, Suguna PIP School and L Suguna, President of Suguna PIP School presided over the tournament.
