Coimbatore: Chettinad Vidyashram School from Chennai emerged as the overall champions of South Zonal Inter CBSE school swimming competition held at SSVM school at Mettupalayam, on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: Chettinad Vidyashram School from Chennai emerged as the overall champions of South Zonal Inter CBSE school swimming competition held at SSVM school at Mettupalayam, on Wednesday.

More than 1200 students from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar took part in the four day competition which was kicked off on October 6.

The competition was conducted under various age categories -under 11,14, 17 and 19 years of age. Students from over 300 school actively vied for the trophy in which with 370 overall points in the competition Chettinad Vidyashram emerged winners of the competition.
Following the champions, SBOA Chennai with 178 points secured second place while the host SSVM with 164 overall points finished third in the table. Rolling trophies and certificates were presented to the winners of the tournament.
