Coimbatore: For the first time in Coimbatore, Suguna PIP School is hosting the sixth Cluster Basketball Tournament for CBSE schools from October 10. Over 3000 students from 178 schools across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are taking part in the tournament. The tournament will be conducted on a knockout basis.
Coimbatore: For the first time in Coimbatore, Suguna PIP School is hosting the sixth Cluster Basketball Tournament for CBSE schools from October 10. Over 3000 students from 178 schools across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are taking part in the tournament. The tournament will be conducted on a knockout basis.
Sujith Kumar, the Superintendent of Police will inaugurate the tournament on October 10 at 8 am and the organisers have stated that they plan to conduct 50 matches in a day. under 17 years category around 200 teams including 77 girls team and in under 19 years category 73 teams including 20 girls teams are taking part.

Addressing the media, Lakshmi Narayanasamy, the Chairman of Suguna Institutions stated, "This is the first time in the history of Coimbatore that Suguna PIP is hosting the tournament. Accommodation, catering and transport facilities to the participants will be provided by the Suguna Institutions. Trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winners of the tournament who will qualify for the national level competition to be held later."

Suguna, the President of Suguna Institutions, V Sekar, Director, Srikanth Kannan, Director, Poovannan, Principal, Lakshmi, Academic Coordinator and Alvin, Physical Director were present at the media briefing.
