Boxers from Octagon Fight Club in the city bagged 14 medals including 6 gold medals at the 6th state level Muay Thai Kick Boxing Championship held at ICF in Chennai, on Sunday.
Coimbatore : Boxers from Octagon fight club in the city had bagged 14 medals including 6 gold medals at the 6th state level Muay Thai kick boxing championship held at ICF, Chennai on Sunday.
Over 150 boxers in and around Tamil Nadu took part in the competition which was conducted under Sub Junior, Junior, senior and pro Categories. As many as 14 boxers from the club participated in the championship.
Coimbatore boxers bagged 6 gold, 7 silvers and one bronze in the overall championship and emerged as champions of the 6th state level Muay Thai championship.
Following Coimbatore, Chennai with 4 golds emerged runners of the championship held on Sunday.
The winners of the competition are eligible to take part in the national level competitions and players who vied in the Pro-category can take part in federation competition to be conducted later this year.
