Over 140 tennis players enthusiastically participated in the ‘Rising Stars’ State-level non-ranking Tennis tournament organised by Levo Sports in the city on Sunday.
Over 140 tennis players enthusiastically participated in the ‘Rising Stars’ State-level non-ranking Tennis tournament organised by Levo Sports in the city on Sunday.
The tournament was conducted under various age categories and under the knockout basis.
The tournament which began on 21st September ended on Sunday.
Winners of various categories: In under 10 years Mini court category, Naren Mithren defeated Saran by 21-5 in the finals to emerge, winners, while Mithravinda and Naren Mithren secured the top two places in under 8 years category.
Under 10 year’s category, Athray emerged as champions while Bhavishnu emerged runner. Akil Babuji and Gowtham placed first and second respectively in under 12 category and Bala Surya defeated Jaicharan in under 14 years category to lift trophy in his category.
Under 16 years category, Santhosh clinched the trophy as he defeated Nihilesh in the finals and Arjun Pranathosh prevailed over Bala Surya in the finals of under 21 years category to claim the title.
Trophies and certificates were presented to the winners of the tournament.
