Coimbatore: PSG College of Technology emerged as champions of zone IX volleyball tournament for women as they defeated the host KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in the finals held at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology on Sunday.
Coimbatore: PSG College of Technology emerged as champions of zone IX volleyball tournament for women as they defeated the host KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in the finals held at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology on Sunday.
The tournament was held under knockout basis in which KPR, PSG, Johnson Institute of Technology and RVS College of Engineering and Technology entered into semifinals of the tournament.
PSG and KPR were successful in the semifinals and entered into the finals.

In a close contest between PSG and KPR, the champions sailed over the host by 25-21 and 25-22 to lift the trophy, while Johnson Institute of Technology and RVS College of Engineering and Technology secured third and fourth place respectively.
K.P.D. Sivagami, Managing Director of KPR group presented the trophy and certificates to the winners.
Dr K Bommanna Raja, Principal, Physical Directors Thambidurai and Stalin took part in the prize distribution.
