VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science registered an easy 6-0 win over Bharathiar University College of Arts and Science on the first day of the Bharathiar University zone 'C' inter-college football tournament at Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science, on Friday.
VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science registered an easy 6-0 win over Bharathiar University College of Arts and Science on the first day of the Bharathiar University zone 'C' inter-college football tournament at Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science, on Friday.
Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science is presently hosting the C zone football tournament which kick-started on Friday. About 18 Arts and Science colleges are taking part in the three-day tournament which was inaugurated by Dr. Sunitha, Principal in-charge of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, along with Dr. C Kumaresan, the Director of Physical Education, SKASC.
In the first match of the tournament, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science thrashed the opponents by 6-0 goals to march into the second round of the tournament. The VLB boys were quick and accurate, and on target. They kept scoring at regular intervals and restricted their opponents from scoring any goal in 90 minutes of play.
In the other matches palyed today, AJK College of Arts and Science defeated Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science by 4-3, Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science defeated Sri Subash Arts and Science College by 3-0 and Nehru Arts and Science College registered a thumping 4-0 win over NGM College of Arts and Science, Pollachi.
