Coimbatore: PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) has triumphed in the Bharathiar University's inter zone hockey tournament hosted by KCT College of Arts, Science and Research in the city on Thursday.
Coimbatore: PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) has triumphed in the Bharathiar University's inter zone hockey tournament hosted by KCT College of Arts, Science and Research in the city on Thursday.
Around 15 teams from various colleges in the city took part in the tournament organized by KCT at their college premises. The tournament kicked off on Tuesday and was conducted under knock out and league basis.
PSG CAS, Dr. NGP College of Arts and Science, Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science, Udumelpet and Nandha Arts and Science College from Erode were the top four team qualified for league match.
In league stage, without losing a match, PSG CAS emerged as champions of the tournament. Following PSG CAS, Dr. NGP secured the second place in the tournament. Subsequently, the third and fourth place were secured by Vidhyasagar and Nandha college respectively.
Dr.S.T.N.Rajeshwaran, Director of Physical Education Bharathiar University along with Dr. Dhayalan, HOD, BBA KCT College of Arts, Science and Research gave away the prizes to the winners.
