Coimbatore : Anna University Zone X Chess tournament was kicked started today at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) here.
As many as 28 teams including 13 girls team are taking part in the two-day chess competition. On the first day, three rounds were held.
Similarly, in the Badminton tournament, SVS School of Architecture defeated JCT College of Engineering and Technology in the finals to emerge winners of the tournament. While, Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology and Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering and Technology secured third and fourth place respectively.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by J. Janet, Principal of the college.
