Coimbatore : Dr. Mahalingam College of engineering and technology from Pollachi, emerged victorious at Anna University Zone X Badminton tournament for men hosted by Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT) in the city on Friday.
Coimbatore : Dr. Mahalingam College of engineering and technology from Pollachi, emerged victorious at Anna University Zone X Badminton tournament for men hosted by Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT) in the city on Friday.
As many as 19 college teams from Zone X of Anna University took part in the tournament. Matches were conducted under knockout basis for men in which Dr. Mahalingam College, Sri Krishna college of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), SKCT and SVS college of engineering were the top four teams.
In the finals of the tournament held today, Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology played against SKCET and defeated them by 3-2 to lift the trophy.
Meanwhile in the losers finals, SKCT sealed SVS College of Engineering to secure the third place in the tournament.
Dr. Srinivasan Alavandar, Principal of SKCT distributed the prizes to the winners. C. Mariselvam, Director of physical education made necessary arrangements for the tournament.
