Combined District boys make a comeback to salvage TNCA match at end of Day 3

Coimbatore : After conceding 154 runs in the first innings of the TNCA under-19 combined district cricket match at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science grounds in the city, Combined District Boys exhibited some responsible batting on the third day of the match to take a lead of 197 runs, with one more day to go int he match.

At the start of their second innings, though the openers failed to give the team a steady start, Boopathi and Hari Shankar played sensibly to stabilise the innings. After the dismissal of the two settled batsmen, Ram Aravindh played responsibly for his 60 of 99 balls and Mohit's quickfire 76 runs at the tail end of the batting lineup gave Combined District a good lead at the end of day three. 

Scores : Combined District 183 in 70.5 overs (N D Harishankar 81, R Vivek 40, J Michael Antony 5/30, P Vidyuth 3/43) and 351/8 in 86 overs (M Boopathi Vaishnav Kumar 66, N D Hari Shankar 53, P Nirmal Kumar 31, R S Mohit Hariharan 76*, R Ram Aravindh 60*, P Vidyuth 3/72) lead City XI - 337 in 97.5 overs (Vikram Satheesh 107 , S Sri Abishek 103, C Saffin 51*, Joy Gupta 4/110).
