Coimbatore: A three-day Inter-college Chess Tournament for all Bharathiar University affiliates kick-started today in Karamadai, near Mettupalayam.
Coimbatore: A three-day Inter-college Chess Tournament for all Bharathiar University affiliates kick-started today in Karamadai, near Mettupalayam.
The chess tournament is being held at the R V College Auditorium in Karamadai, where over 500 students from 60 colleges affiliated to the Bharathiar University are participating.

International Chess Arbiter Palaniappan and R V College Principal Suguna inaugurated the tournament. The tournament will be held until August 29, on a knock out basis. The best four among the participating teams in the tournament will qualify for the South Tamil Nadu level competitions in November.
