Coimbatore : Over 500 students from various schools belonging to B zone enthusiastically participated in the B zone Inter-school Athletic Meet hosted by the Corporation Higher Secondary School of Sidhapudur, at Nehru Stadium here, on Thursday.
The CCMC Commissioner, Sravan Kumar Jatavath declared the B zone Inter-school Athletics Meet open on Wednesday. Various athletic events like the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, high jump, hurdles and shotput are being conducted for both boys and girls, under various age categories like U-14, U-17 and U-19 years.
Valan Antony, Hari Prasath, Karthick Balaji, Nawin Krishna, Mahavishnu, Sivaanish, Ribil Niyas, Sunil Austin, Chitaranjan, Pradhunmon, Sanjay, Ragul and Surya Prakash were the winners in the Boys category. In the Girls category, Nandhitha Sree, Janavi, Natasha, Abinaya, Illakiya, Sreeja, Shamili, Kiruthika, Preethi, Thiya, Gaja Lakshmi, Priya Darshini, Pooja Sree, Olimba Steffi, Sowbarnika Buvanam, Sowniya and Absara emerged winners.
