Coimbatore : A five-day sports fest hosted by Kumaraguru Institutions kicked off in the city in which more than 60 colleges are taking part

There are more than 40 events to be conducted at the fest in which 41 engineering colleges and 10 arts and science colleges are taking part.

Athletics, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Chess, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Tennis, Table Tennis, Throw ball, Volleyball, Karate, Silambam, Boxing and Best physique are some of the events taking place in the five day sports fest.
As part of this sports fest, a volleyball tournament started in KCT volleyball court on Tuesday in which, KG CAS defeated PSG College of Arts and Science by 2-0 while CMS won Sri Krishna college of arts and Science by 2-0.

In basketball, PSG College of Arts and Science defeated CMS by 62-33 While NGP went over Sri Krishna by 41-23 to qualify to next round of the tournament.
Similarly, in the football tournament, Rathinam College has emerged as champions as they defeated CMS College by 1-0 in the finals.
