Coimbatore : The Coimbatore District Cricket Association (CDCA) League Entry cricket tournament kick-started in the city from Thursday. CDCA has introduced the 6th division and this tournament is the qualifying tournament for entry into the Coimbatore League.

The Coimbatore District Cricket Association have added one more division to its league thus comprising of six divisions from this year onward. Thus, the top eight teams from this tournament will take part in the League for the upcoming year.
Over 100 teams are taking part in the tournament which is scheduled from Aug 15 to 28 at various venues in the city and Pollachi as well. Today, being the first day of the tournament, ten matches have been played.
