Coimbatore : Tamil Nadu Bridge Association jointly with Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu has organised Tamil Nadu state bridge championship which began today at the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan club in the city
Srihari Varghese, President of Tamil Nadu Bridge Association inaugurated the Championship along with Ravichandran, District Sports Officer.
About 22 teams from various part of Tamil Nadu and from Bangalore are taking part in the championship and each team comprised of 6 players.
The Championship is being conducted on the league basis where each team plays six rounds to qualify for the finals.
Finals of the tournament is scheduled on Sunday and Rs. 2lakh rupees cash prizes are too awarded to the winners of the championship.
