Coimbatore: Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology is organising a state level basketball tournament for school teams at their college premises starting from Wednesday. The tournament was inaugurated by S Prakash, Principal of SIET.
Coimbatore: Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology is organising a state level basketball tournament for school teams at their college premises starting from Wednesday. The tournament was inaugurated by S Prakash, Principal of SIET.
Around 20 teams from Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Trichy, Madurai, Dindigul and Chennai will take part in the tournament which being conducted on knockout basis.
In the first match, RVS Coimbatore played against CS Academy, Erode. The latter thrashed the former by 68-20 to enter the next round.
In another match Suguna PIP, Coimbatore defeated Achyuta MHSS from Dindigul by 51-39 and PSG Sarvajana went through CS Academy by 2-1 to qualify for the next round of the tournament.
The finals of the tournament is scheduled on July 26.
