Coimbatore : Around 150 players from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana participated in the All India level Tennis Tournament conducted by Coimbatore District tennis Association here at Levo sports on Friday.
Coimbatore : Around 150 players from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana participated in the All India level Tennis Tournament conducted by Coimbatore District tennis Association here at Levo sports on Friday.
The tournament was conducted under two categories- singles and doubles. V.M. Ranjeet of Tamil Nadu lifted the trophy in the singles category.

The tournament kick started on July 15 with more than 150 players competition for the trophy in which Ranjeet (TN) and Kaza Vinayak Sharma (AP) qualified to the finals in the singles category, while Atharva Sharma, Armaan Bhatia and Kavin Masilamani, Fahad Mohammad were the finalist in doubles category.
In singles finals, Ranjeet playing against Kaza Vinayak. He retained a comfortable position through out the game to win the title, as he defeated Kaza in straight sets 6-0, 6-4. While in doubles category, Kavin and Fahad sealed Atharva and Armaan by 1-6,7-5,10-3.
A cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh was presented to the winners of the tournament.
