Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Football Association is organising the 11th inter school football tournament for 'Kittu Trophy' from July 18 to 21 here at Nehru Stadium in the city.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Football Association is organising the 11th inter school football tournament for 'Kittu Trophy' from July 18 to 21 here at Nehru Stadium in the city.
Around 16 schools from the city is taking part in the four day tournament which was kick started on Thursday in which four matches are being conducted in a day.
In the first day of the tournament, Ashram MHSS played against Lisieux Matriculation school and defeated them by 5-2 goals, while CMS MHSS sealed Suburban School by 3-0 with ease.
In the evening session of Thursday, SBOA MHSS went through CIRS by 2-0. Aditya of SBOA scored two goals at 12' and 14' for winning side.
Second round matches are scheduled on Friday and the team winning today will qualify to quarter finals that is scheduled to be played on Saturday.
The finals of the tournament is scheduled on Sunday.
