Coimbatore: J Jai Simha bowled a brilliant spell and scalped five (5/36) which helped 'Combined Districts' team to restrict 'City' team for 238 and score 139 runs lead in the TNCA U14 combined districts match at SNR college on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: J Jai Simha bowled a brilliant spell and scalped five (5/36) which helped 'Combined Districts' team to restrict 'City' team for 238 and score 139 runs lead in the TNCA U14 combined districts match at SNR college on Wednesday.
The three-day combined districts match was held at SNR from Monday in which one team comprising of players from all the districts and another team from the city played against each other. The Combined districts team won the toss and elected to bat first.
With a responsible innings from Hari K Pandya (66), Khush Bardia (72), B. Sachin, P Sree Sivahi and T. Surya Prasad scoring 30 for their side, combined districts scored a total of 377/9 and declared their innings.
Following a good batting performance, bolwers did the right job for Combined districts team and T.Surya Prasad, the local boy bowled well and scalped two wickets and the man of the match Jai Simha ran through the innings with 5 Wickets to all out City team for 238 in the first innings.
