India loses to New Zealand in a hard fought semi-final. In a rain affected match which went into the reserve day today, it was a low scoring match. New Zealand scored 240 in the first innings and India were bowled out for 221.

India had a horrendous start to its batting innings losing 4 wickets in no time. It's easy being New Zealand sometimes, isn't it? When they look for 240 and get it, they're not fancied. When they take five early wickets and have one 10-over spell without a wicket, they're not fancied. At 31 off 12? Nope, still not the overwhelmingly fancied side. No pressure, ever.

They lost three straight games before this. But they've done it. They're always semi-final whereabouts, and now they're in a second consecutive final. What a performance, to keep dragging back. To keep staying in the game. To stay in the World Cup another day. A truly epic defence.
