Coimbatore : The 'Rising Stars' state level tennis tournament was conducted at the Levo Sports Complex here in the city over the weekend. About 120 participants actively took part, vying for the trophy in various categories.
Coimbatore : The 'Rising Stars' state level tennis tournament was conducted at the Levo Sports Complex here in the city over the weekend. About 120 participants actively took part, vying for the trophy in various categories.
The competition was conducted under various age categories - Under 10 mini court, Under 10, 12,14,16 and 21 years of age.
In the under 10 mini court category, Muhunth defeated Pranesh by 21-15 in the finals to emerge as winner while in the Under 10 category, Jaiwanth lifted the trophy defeating Bhavishnu by 6-3 in the finals.
Rithik Vyshnav ran through Parthiban by a scoreline of 6-4 in the Under 12 category to emerge as winner. Pranay Karthick and Maaya Rajesh triumphed in their respective categories.
In the Under 21 years category, Arjun Pranathosh and Sasi Tharan clashed in the finals in which Arjun sealed Sasi by a comfortable margin of 6-2 to be crowned as champion.
Trophies, certificates and Tennis kits were presented to the winners in the various categories of the tournament.
