Round Robin Cricket Tournament: Match drawn, District I stand tall with first innings lead

Coimbatore: District I went through to the next round, after their match against District II was drawn, by virtue of their first innings lead at the TNCA U16 'Round Robin' Cricket Tournament. The match was played at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, here in the city.

Coimbatore: District I went through to the next round, after their match against District II was drawn, by virtue of their first innings lead at the TNCA U16 'Round Robin' Cricket Tournament. The match was played at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, here in the city. 



In the second match of the Round Robin which started on Tuesday, District II batted first and scored 146. Batting second, District I with their skipper unbeaten at 50 carrying on from the first day, scored 216 in 90 overs thus maintaining a lead of 70 runs. 



The highly responsible innings from the skipper Sibiyenthal provided a strong foundation for other District I batsmen to build on. 



Scores : District ll - 146 in 56 overs (S Sivadevan, 49) & 80/1 in 30 overs (A D Shyam Vikas 40*) drew with District l 216/8 in 90 overs (K Sibiyenthal 71, V Nitin Pranav 27, P Saravanan 34, Rishabh Sudhir 28).
