Coimbatore : Southern Warriors basketball club clinched a comfortable victory over Renovators (98-77) in the 65th YMCA basketball tournament for S. Venkatakrishnan Trophy held here at YMCA basketball court in the city on Monday.
Coimbatore : Southern Warriors basketball club clinched a comfortable victory over Renovators (98-77) in the 65th YMCA basketball tournament for S. Venkatakrishnan Trophy held here at YMCA basketball court in the city on Monday.
YMCA basketball tournament is the one of the oldest district level tournament in which around 80 teams from Coimbatore are taking part.
The tournament is being conducted under mini boys category (Under 13 years), junior boys category for school boys from 6 to 10th Standard, Men and Women and on knockout basis.
In today's game, against Renovaters basketball Club, the victors displayed a responsible game and defeated them quite comfortably by a 21 points lead. While in another match between 110 battalion and STC college Pollachi, 110 Battalion defeated STC by 72:63 and qualified to the next round.
In the men's category, Rajalakshmi Mills high school basketball club and Texcity basketball club clashed with each other in which the former thrashed the latter by 71:29. And, PSG Sarvajana defeated Miracle basketball club by 74:79.
