Coimbatore: The 2nd State level CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) Karate tournament was kick-started at Kaumaram Sushila International Residential School (Ksirs) on Saturday at their school premises.
Coimbatore: The 2nd State level CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) Karate tournament was kick-started at Kaumaram Sushila International Residential School (Ksirs) on Saturday at their school premises.

Around 25 schools comprising of 120 students from ICC schools around Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are taking part in the tournament. The tournament is being conducted under two categories - U13 and U 17 for both boys and girls.

The winners from this State level tournament will take part in the National level tournament to be held at Kolkatta, this year. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. S. Sree Raja Rajeshwari, District Inspector of Physical Education.

Others present at the inauguration were Ravichandran, DSO, Sensei. R Muthuraju, RC chairman of Tamilnadu State Karate Association and Sensei. V.M.C. Manoharan, Chairman of Coimbatore Karate Association.
