Coimbatore: It was a good day for PSG Sarvajana Higher Secondary School in the District level inter School hockey tournament, as both PSG Sarvajana 'A' and 'B' team secured their spot in the semi final of the tournament.
Coimbatore: It was a good day for PSG Sarvajana Higher Secondary School in the District level inter School hockey tournament, as both PSG Sarvajana 'A' and 'B' team secured their spot in the semi final of the tournament.

District level inter School hockey tournament by PSG Sarvajana Higher Secondary School for 1st PSG Trophy was kick started at the PSG IM grounds on Thursday with 17 teams competing for the trophy.

The tournament was inaugurated by Secretary of PSG Sarvajana, P Narayanasamy.

On the second day of the tournament, four quater finals matches were conducted in which both PSG Sarvajana A and B team qualified to the semi finals. PSG Sarvajana 'A' playing against Government Higher Secondary School, Ondipudur and registered a thumping 4-0 win to book a spot in the semi finals while Sarvajana B defeated ELGI Matriculation Higher Secondary School by 5-0 to enter the semi finals of the tournament.

On the other hand, Sri Ragevendra Higher Secondary School defeated Vidhya Vikas Matriculation Higher Secondary School by 4-0 and Dr. PGV Matriculation Higher Secondary School beat Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in a close contest by 2-1 to enter semi finals.
Both Semi finals and finals of the tournament is scheduled today, Saturday.
