Coimbatore : S B Kaaviya Sree and K Sastikhaa from Coimbatore qualified to represent Tamil Nadu in the National Karate Championship 2019 which is to be held from June 9th to 13th at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.
Coimbatore : S B Kaaviya Sree and K Sastikhaa from Coimbatore qualified to represent Tamil Nadu in the National Karate Championship 2019 which is to be held from June 9th to 13th at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.
S B Kaaviya Sree studies in Class 7 in Suguna PIP school while K Sastikhaa studies in Class 5 in The First School in the city. They have been training under Sensei Muthusaravanan and Sensei Thangaraj for over a year now and have secured their places in the national level competition. The duo won gold medals in the state level competitions which have helped them on to the national championship.
S B Kaaviya Sree is participating in individual Kumite events under 11 years of age and 35+ kg weight category while Sastikhaa is participating in the Individual Kumite event for 10 years of age and 30+ kg category. The winners in the national championship will move on to take part in the Asian level competitions to be held later this year.
Sensei Sai Bruce, the Chairman of the Organising Committee and Administration in the Tamil Nadu State Karate Association congratulated the students and wished them the very best for future competitions.
