After losing their first match against Indian Army, Income Tax team came back hard in the tournament defeating Bank of Baroda and Indian Railways in the next two games. Team Income tax maintained their pulses in a must win game against Indian Railways and clinched their way into semi finals.

In another league match between Indian bank and Indian Navy, Indian bank stood undefeated in the league match and sealed Navy for only 11 points. Despite their hard efforts in the quarter finals, Indian Navy could not defeat the Indian bank team who were smart enough to maintain that margin till the final whistle from the referee.
