36th Youth National Basketball Championship: TN girls team storm into semi finals

Coimbatore: While Tamil Nadu boys team are already out of the contest, Tamil Nadu girls team booked their spot in the semi-finals, as they sealed Delhi comfortably in the 36th Youth National Basketball Championship clash here at PSG Tech Indoor sports complex on Sunday.

Coimbatore: While Tamil Nadu boys team are already out of the contest, Tamil Nadu girls team booked their spot in the semi-finals, as they sealed Delhi comfortably in the 36th Youth National Basketball Championship clash here at PSG Tech Indoor sports complex on Sunday.



Through the season, the TN girls team were undefeated. Today, the Tamil Nadu girls played against Delhi and defeated them by 29 points to make their way in the last four. Tamil Nadu will now play Rajasthan tomorrow in the semi finals.



Scores: Tamilnadu (90) beats Delhi (61)

Top Score : Tamilnadu - Nivetha sree (15), Sathya (14), Sandhiya (16), Deepika (12). Delhi - krithika Dhingra (32), Prakriti Panjan(21). Punjab (71) beats Maharashtra (50).

Top Score : Punjab - Kaur (29), Vats(13), K single (10). Maharashtra - S Bidaye (24). 

Rajasthan (63) beats Karnataka (52).

Top Score : Rajasthan - Rashi khotani (28), Manvi Srivastava (11). Karnataka - Sunishka (25), Sanjana (17).

In the boys category, Kerala, Rajasthan and Karnataka are the teams qualified to the semi finals of the tournament which is scheduled on Monday.

Kerala (64) beats Punjab (60)
