Coimbatore : The Tamil Nadu Kho Kho Association is launching its first Tamil Nadu Kho Kho Premier League in Coimbatore, comprising of eight teams including National and International players.
Coimbatore : The Tamil Nadu Kho Kho Association is launching its first Tamil Nadu Kho Kho Premier League in Coimbatore, comprising of eight teams including National and International players.
The first edition of the game will be held at Sri Ranganathar polytechnic College here in the city from May 17.
Around 180 players including 60 women players will be taking part in the tournament which has received 850 plus enrolments.
The players were selected according to their current performance and form in the game. The players selection took place at Chennai last month. Players who played national level, state level, Inter University were given priorities and each team will have two local players of the district.
Total of 40 players from Coimbatore will be representing for different teams in this league which is the highest.
Coimbatore Chasers, Chennai Tigers, Puduvai Komban,Madurai Kho Kho Kings, Trichy Super Kings, Tiruvallur Cheetas, Krihnagiri Hunting Eagle, Erode Young Lions are the eight team in men's category.
In women's category there four teams- Covai Speedies, Chennai Queens, Madurai Blue Panthers and Erode Royal Rappers.
Coimbatore Chasers camp is being held at Sri Ranganathar Institute of Polytechnic College, here in the city and for women's team the camp is taking place at Narayana guru college KG Chavadi.
