Coimbatore : Eight students from Silambaya Silambam Centre here has bagged a total of 18 medals including 11 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 4th Asian level silambam competition held at Nagercoil between 25 to 28.

Around 400 participants from India, Nepal, Singapore and Malaysia were part of the four-day tournament which was conducted under various categories- mini sub junior, sub junior, junior and seniors.
S Monish (gold, silver and team gold), Shree Varsan (silver medal and a team gold), V Krishna Kumar (gold), Arun Pandian ( 2 gold and a silver), S Saranraj (3 gold medals) were the students who emerged successful in the boys category.
While Mary Priyadharshini (Silver and Bronze), C V Pooja (Gold and a silver), S Nivetha (Gold) bagged medals in girls category.
