The JK Tyre Racing Championship (JKTRC) is India’s premier racing championship for the racers focussing on Formula Car Racing.
JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship kickstarted at Kari Motor Speedway and will feature three catergories: the Euro JK 16 India Series, the LGB 4 and the Indian Touring Cars.
Racers from most renowned teams such as Meco Racing (owned by international racer Armaan Ebrahim), Rayo Racing (owned by 8 times National champion Rayomand Banajee), Dark Don Racing (owned by ex-racer Afsar Riyaz) and Team Avalanche Racing (owned by ex-racer Fazal Khan) participated in the Championship.
In the LGB 4, Ashwin Sundar from Dark Don team stole the show by coming 1st. Vishnu Prasad from Meco racing stood second on the podium and Sudharsana Rao Karwal from Dark Don stood third.
Among the debutants in this category defending Senior Max champion Ricky Donison had a good start. He stood third in both race 3 & 4 in the Euro JK 16 making a successful transition from karting to single-seater racing.
Nayan Chatterjee totally dominated the show with his promising double victories at the Euro JK 16 in both race 3 & 4. And Krishnaraj Mahadik at the second place in race 3 and Ricky at 3rd place.
In Euro Jk 16 Race 4 Kush Maini raced past Krishnaraj with a minute gap and secured the second position. Once again Ricky secured his third position.
Ashish Ramasamy, Vidyaprakash Damodaran and Ramasamy came first, second and third in the Gentlemen's Cup.
The winners will participate in the 5th round of the JK Tyre FMSCI National level Championship.
