Coimbatore : The city's renowned skating coach, R Sankar has received the WINSHA award as 'best skating coach' and his academy won the 'best skating academy' for his 14 years of excellence in the field.
Coimbatore : The city's renowned skating coach, R Sankar has received the WINSHA award as 'best skating coach' and his academy won the 'best skating academy' for his 14 years of excellence in the field.
Sankar's skill in coaching talent was recognised and felicitated by the WINSHA Groups which has been honouring the best businessmen and professionals for the last five years, under the banner WINSHA Awards. This year, WINSHA awards introduced a new category for sports persons. This is the fifth Winsha Awards and the second in Coimbatore, which was held at the Hotel Vijay Elanza on Sunday.
Tamil Roller Skating Sports Association has been involved in training and raising up young budding skaters in the city since 2005. The Association had produced a bunch of young skaters who won several medals in both national and international competitions.
Along with Sankar, WINSHA Awards also recognised and felicitated various talent in dance, karate and beauty care.
