Coimbatore: Ramakrishna College of Nursing has won the District level throwball tournament for nursing college staffs which was organised by GEM college of Nursing here at Nehru Stadium on Saturday.
Coimbatore: Ramakrishna College of Nursing has won the District level throwball tournament for nursing college staffs which was organised by GEM college of Nursing here at Nehru Stadium on Saturday.
The one-day throwball tournament featured around eight college teams from Coimbatore in which Ramakrishna emerged as winners against Texcity College of nursing emerged runners.
Ramakrishna, Texcity, RVS Nursing College and JK college of Nursing were the top four teams who played at the semi finals in which the Ramakrishna College defeated JK college of Nursing to qualify to the final and on the other side, it was Texcity who defeated RVS to book their spot in final.
In the finals, Ramakrishna defeated the opponent by 15:9 and 15:11 to claim the title. Lizza Ravindran, Principal of Gem College of Nursing along with Nathiya, Co Co-ordinator distributed the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
