Coimbatore : The Super Kings team won the district level cricket tournament conducted by the Coimbatore Press Club.

The Coimbatore Press Club conducted the 10 over per side cricket tournament in which 32 teams participated. The tournament began last December in which Super Kings and Yunix Cricket league teams qualified for the finals.

In the finals held on Sunday, Super Kings which batted first scored 90 runs, losing 5 wickets. Yunix was unable to chase the target and were all out for 67 runs, paving the way for Super Kings to lift the trophy.
In the match for third and fourth spot, Killers Cricket Club and R B Groups secured third and fourth spots respectively. A cash prize of Rs.25,000 along with the trophy was provided to Super Kings. The Yunix Cricket league was provided a cash prize of Rs.15,000, while the teams at third and fourth spots were provided with a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and Rs.5,000 respectively.

The Secretary of Coimbatore Corporation Contractors' Welfare Association Chandra Prakash, Global Kitchens founder Rajavel, Pricol Ltd PRO Nadarajan and Muralidaran of the Nehru Group of Institutions were the chief guests at the event and distributed prizes to the teams.
